The Strasburg Rail Road in Pennsylvania have a couple of fully qualified ladies who operate their steam locomotives.

Eustis....1968 Author: flash34 So does (or recently has) Georgetown Loop, TVRM, Chehalis-Centralia RR, Nevada Northern, Black Hills Central, Illinois Railroad Museum, Sumpter Valley and I'm sure many others that I'm not immediately aware of. It's really not unusual anymore.

She was going to qualify as an engineer but I think their steam program ceased before she qualified.
