NO sound video-!

Privately owned former Wisconsin Central 2425 / Soo Line 2425, Alco 2-8-0 built October 1909, rests at the Blueberry Mine along the Mineral Range RR outside of Ishpeming, Michigan.  Owner plans to restore the steam engine in the future.  Locomotive was displayed at Enderlin, North Dakota, for many years.

The Blueberry Mine was opened in 1926 by Ford Motor Company. In 1933 the North Range Mining Company took control. It closed in 1954 when the ore body was exhausted. The mine shipped about 6 million tons of ore in this time. Ore was shipped out over the DSS&A to the Marquette ore dock.

Blueberry Mine is a location on the Diorite USGS Quad Map. Also shown nearby are the Dexter Mine, the settlement of Snowville, and the Dexter Landing Field.

I admire ambition but there are easier projects.
