A few more pictures  -  (1) the descriptive sign and builder identification, (2) looking across the pivot mounting location, and (3) looking through one half of the length of the turntable.

thanks Jim for the additional pictures.   edits of this interpretive sign are welcomed as I hope something similar will be on one of the interpretive signs on the fence line around the TT pit.   the rehab job on this turntable bridge was a great success.   Arlen

Since it is dry and not raining right now obviously it is a good time to put a sealant of some type on the top of the wall and do some tamping in the pit.

the contractor told me today it is 130 lb rail.....I am assuming it was rolled in the early 1920s.  pivot install in some days.     Arlen

That might not be railroad rail but rather bridge rail as used on large traveling cranes.
