ATSF #3751 in San Pedro
Author: kimura

Took my boys to see ATSF #3751 in San Pedro on Sat 10/30. We enjoyed touring the cars, getting stuff for my boys at the SBRHS booth and of course seeing the beautiful ATSF #3751. Kudos to the SBRHS for providing this opportunity for the public to see this steam locomotive once again! Here's a few snapshots...

Mike, nice coverage. Hope your sons had as much fun as my grandson did when the SBRHS crew showed him around the cab after the Grand Canyon trip a couple of years ago. Great crew!

You'd better watch what you expose your boys to. Now they might grow up and decide that they want to be locomotive engineers rather than doctors, lawyers, or rocket scientists. These were good pictures btw, and viewing quality images on Trainorders is the next best thing to being there in person, I reckon.

Hey Mike!

Great shot of the kids in the engineer's seat.

I took my daughter down to see the engine Sunday, and she was nice enough to be mildly interested for a while, especially after she found out she could get a "3751" patch to go on her girl scout sash.

It was interesting to watch her reaction to all the grease around the bearings on the side rods . . .

Be safe out there.

I enjoyed your pictures of the boys and the engine. My name is Tadashi and I am from Japan. Though not in daylight I took the same engine in January '92.
