Introduction to the 1218

My first encounter with this beauty came under horrid light across a bean field northeast of New Haven, Indiana on a July morning 1990. The ease with which this locomotive moved twenty-five passenger cars along the old Wabash Fort Wayne-Detroit main was amazing.

Thanks for the memories! We caught her a few miles earlier, and paced her through some of this area. Boy did she move!
