Watching trains from a moving automobile
Author: TonyJ

I was going through some old slides today and found a few I shot on a 1960 vacation with my parents as we went to Utah. Riding in my Dad's 1956 Studebaker Commander I always keep my eyes open anytime we were near railroad tracks.

Here is a shot of a westbound Western Pacific freight as we crossed the Salt Flats. It was a great thing to experience and a way to break the boredom of the drive. Back then US40 was a two-lane road across the flats. - Tony J.
