Nostalgia & History > Katy in Temple TexasDate: 02/23/06 22:20 Katy in Temple Texas Author: xtra1188w Santa Fe is such a large presence in Temple, the Katy is often overlooked as also having a presence in Temple as well. Even though the names have changed and the colors are different, Temple still has TWO class 1's on their own trackage, just as it has been for well over a hundred years. (MKT/UP & GC&SF/AT&SF/BNSF)
Con Date: 02/23/06 22:21 Re: Katy in La Grange Texas Author: xtra1188w Katy in La Grange Texas. LaGrange has a lot of Slavic descendants in the area, and it's a great area to either eat in the restaurants, or to get take out kolaches, and etc.

(My mother-inlaw (Czech descent) makes the best Kolaches with apricot filling! One type is like a bread and the other type is a very flaky pastry dough shell.)
