PLA Hospital move from Castro Point 198?.

PLA Hospital move from Castro Point as it moved thru Richmond. My slide is undated, but I think it was mid-1980's.

PLA is the Pacific Locomotive Association, operator of the Niles Canyon Railway.

As for the dome car,I am not sure. In fact I just plain don't remember. I had forgotten about that move until I found the slides.

Not the Plaza Santa Fe 503. That's the Plaza Zuni 505.

If I've got it right, the dome was owned by Lou Braddas...who was the engineer on that train! I remember how he used to come
out to Castro Point & spend a few hours working on it before going to work on the SP.

You have it right, Tom. Lou Bradas still owns the car and works on it down in Niles Canyon now. Lou was the engineer on both of our hospital trains.
