As far as the SP was concerned this was actually Amtrak Train #12 after it left Oakland Date: 03/26/06 02:20 Re: SDP40F 532 & 617 with Starlight=--=a little closer Author: drew1946 Date: 03/26/06 02:49 Re: SDP40F 532 & 617 with Starlight=--=a little closer Author: Red Absolutely beautiful! Superb shot. May I ask what type of scanner and software you are using? Date: 03/26/06 09:30 Re: SDP40F 532 & 617 with Starlight=--=a little closer Author: samreeves Nice one Drew. That's when you could still see the river. Now there's a bunch of reeds which over the view.

Drew, I used to work near Alviso in the early and mid-1980s and during lunch time would drive out to Alviso to bag whatever came by. One of my favorite Bay Area haunts, it still is a favorite location for Bay fans. Mark Date: 03/26/06 13:11 Re: SDP40F 532 & 617 with Starlight=--=a little closer Author: drew1946 I am using a Minolta Dimage 5400 scanner and touching the scans up with Photoshop. 95 % of my slides are Kodachrome 25 except for Ektachrome 400 and Kodachrome 200 use for low light situations. I am now using Kodachrome Pro64 and some digital, depending on the subject.

Look forward to seeing more of your scans... |
