Interesting to see Tunnel 2 with its original cross section. The second view is where tunnel 4 was up until the 1930's.

John Harder sent me this Ralph Demoro photo from 1939, showing the first train through the new cut in 1939, with abandoned tunnel 4 in the background, along with the concrete highway bridge that still exists. Sadly, the old wooden overpass Demoro was standing on, and which lasted until just a few years ago, is no longer there. This photo also appears in _Valley Division Vignettes_.
