Nostalgia & History > Colton HelperDate: 06/18/06 21:29 Colton Helper Author: SP2778 Eastbound Passenger trains usually got a helper at Colton. On one occasion they tried a Baldwin. May 10, 1950. I don't think it worked to well as I only it once.

In both cases, the road engines are fairly fast & the helpers are certainly not...I think that Consolidations were only authorized 45 in the Special Instructions portion of the EMP TT.
