Is 151 disguised as 147? Date: 09/26/06 05:09 Re: #151 at Redwood City Author: Phil Sweet!! Gotta love those SP Trainmasters!
Phil Date: 09/26/06 07:51 Re: #151 at Redwood City Author: Edwardjb Ah.....make that 147.

Tom Date: 09/26/06 18:55 Re: #151 at Redwood City Author: agentatascadero I wonder how many other commute(r) services carried RPO's? #147 appears to be one such train. I never knew SP commutes to carry baggage cars, and so presume this to be an RPO even though I can't see the mail catch arm. AA
Stanford White Carmel Valley, CA Date: 09/26/06 19:31 Re: #151 at Redwood City Author: Edwardjb Remember when most mail was surface. This train dropped a mail car every day in Redwood City. I'm not sure if any other Peninsula cities had mail cars dropped off and picked up, but lots of commuters had a mail truck waiting for them on the platform. Forgive the quality of the scan. When I first started scanning slides, storage space was critical (and you can see how small the files had to be). Now, with almost a terabyte of storage, a can scan much larger files. I also used far too much sharpening back then. Oh, well, live and learn.
