Vacation July 78 continued. Part 2

7-14-78

#1 Farther west, we caught up with 5920 which had been re-crewed and released from captivity and was again headed west for Alliance.

#2 5920 again.

#3 And again. We were just happy to see something moving again.

#4 The 5354 had taken up smoking at a pretty young age.

#5 At Ellsworth the C&S 883 was just getting under way after getting a new crew.

#6 At Alliance we found the 5518 and friends waiting to get onto their train.

#7 BN 6137 between chores.

#8 Coming into town from the west was the 5803 with a loaded coal.

#9 Later we caught the 6241 heading into the sunset. Consist was two SD24’s, C30-7, and a U23C. Not bad.
