Nostalgia & History > Nineteen years ago today on the ATSFDate: 11/24/06 18:13 Nineteen years ago today on the ATSF Author: qnyla ATSF 5140 rolled west having just passed through Crozier Canyon. Today the ATSF is gone. The F45 and SD45 are gone (at least from BNSF). The signal is gone, replaced by newer signals in a different location. The code line is gone.
I should also mention the Kodachrome 25 film used to record the image is gone. The Nikon FM-2 used to record the image is a relic and has passed on to somebody else via eBay. My ancient FM-2's (x2), equipped with film eaters, still serve, albeit though using the green & white film box.
You sure have a fine selection of images, and an AWESOME website. Thanks for sharing them with us. Take Care, Bob ATSF100WEST......Out |
