On this day the train was delivering a load of corn syrup to the Wrigley's gum factory. All of this activity is no longer in existence since Wrigley's closed up in Santa Cruz and moved operations to St. Petersburg in Russia. It's funny how Santa Cruz can drive business to far ends of the earth!

Is the plant in the background the same one in my picture below? (At Natural Bridges Rd. in western Santa Cruz from my first visit to the line in May of this year).
