Some old Santa Cruz
Author: samreeves

Here are a few of the SP Santa Cruz Local from 1996. On this day the train was delivering a load of corn syrup to the Wrigley's gum factory. All of this activity is no longer in existence since Wrigley's closed up in Santa Cruz and moved operations to St. Petersburg in Russia. It's funny how Santa Cruz can drive business to far ends of the earth!

Nice memories, Sam.

Is the plant in the background the same one in my picture below? (At Natural Bridges Rd. in western Santa Cruz from my first visit to the line in May of this year).

Sam, the politics in St. Petersburg are really not much different than in the Peoples Republic of Santa Cruz.
