Thanksgiving weekend on WP in '72

On the day after Thanksgiving in 1972 the power for the Westwood turn was waiting at Keddie, CA and a southbound runthrough "Inside Gateway" train was approaching Keddie and a fresh crew before heading for Stockton.

Nice shots. I always enjoy seeing shots of SP&S Centuries on the WP. Keep trying to convince some folks in Portola to snag one.

If you had a BN Alco in your consist and the alarm bell went off, like for wheel slip etc., I was instructed to ignore it and just keep going. That's what the WP crews thought of them.

I agree! Thanks for digging this file back up! Ahh, back when going to the Canyon was really fun - and there was something to see in Keddie.
