LA Division Timetable N0. 231, October 30, 1966
Author: spnudge

I just came across an old TT and I forgot how many First Class Trains we had, by Burbank Jct, going West back then in 1966.

6:29 AM No. 51 San Joaquin Daylight

9:43 AM No. 99 Coast Daylight

6:00 PM No. 371 Advance Zipper (Adv C.M.W)

7:10 PM No. 373 Zipper (C.M.W.)

8:00 PM No. 365 Advance Starpacer

9:28 PM No. 75 Lark

12:15 AM No. 375 Starpacer

There were also Third Class Freights for the Coast Westbound:

6:22 AM No. 829

1:22 PM No. 831

7:22 PM No. 833

10:30 PM No. 835

There were also Second Class Freights for the Valley Westbound:

12:25 AM No. 801

7:40 AM No. 803

12:35 PM No. 805

7:05 PM No. 807

A lot of the 2nd & 3rd Class were run in sections.

I'm not trying to outdo Nudge, but as a comparison, here are the schedules for regularly scheduled trains at Burbank Jct. according to TT #230 dated, April 24, 1966.

609AM No. 51 San Joaquin Daylight (via Valley)

943AM No. 99 Coast Daylight

500PM No. 371 Advance Zipper (Adv. C.M.W.) (via Coast)

610PM No. 373 Zipper (C.M.W.) (via Coast)

800PM No. 365 Advance Starpacer (via Valley)

828PM No. 75 Lark (via Coast)

1115PM No. 375 Starpacer (via Coast)

Third Class Freights via the Coast Route

720AM No. 829

620PM No. 831

920PM No. 833

No. 835 had not been created at this time.

There were no Second Class Freights westbound for the Coast or the Valley as non-scheduled westbounds were run as extra trains. The only Second Class trains were eastbound and via the Coast and were numbers, 830, 832, 834, and 836.
