Nostalgia & History > a blue and silver COMET?

Or should that be aluminum? The NYNH&H COMET near the roundhouse in Waterbury, CT in the late '40s. Another photo by my Mother or Father. I know who took the 4x5 B&W shots, but the 35mm Kodachromes are another story. Not sure of the history on this set, as it was like the early CB&Q Zephyrs. A lead unit with power and a couple of somewhat permanently attached cars. There are other shots of the rest of the set, but this was the only one scanned at the moment.

Kinda surprising to see it in Waterbury. All the shots of it I've seen have been between Boston and Providence where it used to run. An early attempt at high-speed rail.
