Nostalgia & History > A Few from the TransconDate: 09/05/09 09:10 A Few from the Transcon Author: PRose These aren't too old, but qualify as "Nostalgia" for me.
1) BNSF 8709 bangs across the Conrail diamond at Streator, IL with a westbound baretable. July 25, 2000. 2) BNSF 114 on the westbound LKAN 361 Local departing Pampa, TX. October 9, 2003. 3) BNSF 6812 and a B unit with the S-LPCOIG1 on Curtis Hill, west of Quinlan, OK. October 10, 2003. Thanks for looking. Bob Helling PRose Date: 09/05/09 11:07 Re: A Few from the Transcon Author: SP6190 Curtis Hill didn't look like that when I went through there in August. There was a work window in effect so no trains. Then again, the sun was very high in the sky and it was 106 degrees, so who cared.
