Nostalgia & History > RDG Rutherford Yrd Shots in early CR daysDate: 01/08/11 09:05 RDG Rutherford Yrd Shots in early CR days Author: ns2557 CR U23B 2786, which was one of the ex LV U23B's, the 510, is at the south end switching. All kinds of units could be found doing this chore here at R'Frd after the CR start. Shot 2 has a set of ex PC power moving back into the yard past what was known as "R" Tower on the right. This is also the south end, or west end if ya prefer. Thats CR 7980 leading the way. And in shot 3, we have a WM F7A set, under the old Coaling Tower that predominated the yard for many a year after the merger. Thats 7149 in the shot. All these were taken in Spring 1977. WM units were regular visitors to this yard back then. Saw and shot many of their F Units here. TFL Ben
