Old passenger car at Parkville, MO
Author: JoCoLB

I photographed this old passenger car in downtown Parkville, Mo., today while there to observe the potential flood situation along the Missouri River. Anyone know the history of this particular car.\? It's part of a restaurant-bar business that has different owners through the years. former Missouri Pacific caboose is on the opposite of the main building.I noticed today that the business was closed. I was unable to talk to the owner-operator.

I believe it's an old MOPAC car. At least that is what it was painted as 7 years ago and that paint was old then. At that time it was a Mexican restaurant.

I can say that it was originally a Pullman.

Is the depot going to get flooded?

With the window arrangement, I would say it was originaly
a Pullman 12-1..12 section, 1 drawingroom..the end windows
with wider spacing were the restrooms-smoking rooms..
