Nostalgia & History > Christmas past rememberedDate: 12/23/11 20:23 Christmas past remembered Author: FT December 1971. A moderate snow storm is dumping on Ogden, UT. As the 6945 crept closer I walked backwards in the drifts to try and catch color on the two signals. Much
to my chagrin they didn't light until the cab of the second unit passed me. Sure seemed they should activate sooner. This was Kodachrome II and at a 60th shutter speed I got pretty good results. This is almost exactly what the light was like. I did up the contrast a bit in Photoshop. Never was fond of K 64, but it would have made the shot a bit brighter. make no apologies. It is a great photo (in tough conditions, with limited film capabilities) of two of the greatest locomotives ever built. Date: 12/23/11 22:09 Re: Christmas past remembered Author: 3rdswitch Awesome, Merry Christmas.
