Unusual power in Eugene OR?

Saw these units back in July 1976.
Maybe they got lost from Southern California?

In those years this power was part of the TF the Tehachapi Freight Pool Power ... Must of been a power shortage and the power went through from either LA or West Colton..

That's the first time I've seen a photo of either SP type in Eugene. Definitely unusual to see them there.

Thanks for sharing.

From 1976 onward, the SP became critically short on power. I believe at this time because of it, the traditional BK-Tehachapi of SD9,35s,39s and U30C was abolished, so power went everywhere

Nice catch, Todd. I also have a couple of shots of U30Cs and U33Cs in Eugene as well as the 5300 leading a Westbound out of Eugene at High Street in the early '80s. Fun stuff!
