In the distant building archway, there appears to be a smoke stain in the right arch, but the tracks don't go there. Was there another track in the location?

I believe the tracks do indeed pass under that arch. The one to the left is vehicle traffic and you can make out a slight curve to the right in the trackage ahead which would put the steamers under the arch to the right.

Correct. The track curves a bit to the right and goes under the archway.
