6 More Shots of the Coast Starlight

This is the third in a series of Coach Starlight photos taken up and down its route. Hope you are enjoying the viewing.

1. Train 11 just leaving King Street Station on June 22, 1984.

2. Train 14 in the Cascades on April 9, 1981.

3. Taken during the closure of the route at Oak Ridge, OR due to a large mudslide, this is train 1014 that ran between Eugene and Seattle. Caught at Portland Union Station May 5, 2008.

4. Also taken during the mud slid closure this is the Seattle to Eugene Train 1011 at Salem, OR on May 4, 2008.

5. During one of its periodic inland detours here is Train 14 at Cable, CA (4 mi. west of Tehachapi, CA) waiting for MoW equipment to clear the single track ahead on February 6, 2012.

6. Here is the same train at Woodford (corrected from Walong), CA (by the Loop) a half hour later.

Love the F40's,hate the mud missiles, they sound good but look BAD.

I love both the looks AND the sound of the F40s...as well as their "hotrod" operating characteristics!!! Glad I got some stick time in on them...brief as it was...
