Did I see a green 40 ft boxcar close to the head end of the train?  Looked like it had a logo on the side shaped like the state of New Hampshire but I'm not aware of any short lines in that state that would have used such a logo.   Can anyone tell me who that car belonged to back then and also tell me how long 40 footers lasted in interchange service?  I didn't think any were still around in the late 80's.

Thanks.

40s were being phased out in 1980 and rare to find by 1988

It is a North Stratford Railraod 40' boxcar. The railroad was in New Hampshire.
