Nostalgia & History > A Few Windsplitter PicturesDate: 05/04/15 11:52 A Few Windsplitter Pictures Author: MartyBernard Here are some Wind Splitter pictures, i.e., photos of Virginia & Truckee 22, a McKeen motor car taken October 29, 2011. What a beautiful renovation by the volunteers at the Nevada State Railroad Museum.

Everytime I've ever seen it running, why is someone always standing on the bottom step of the door? Just curious.
Date: 05/05/15 15:18 Re: A Few Windsplitter Pictures Author: MartyBernard The day I took that picture the guy on the bottom step was the volunteer being the conductor. Can you think of a better place to stand? You are actually in the middle of the passenger compartment.
[Edit] Come to think of it, that position let's him controll the only passenger door. Marty Bernard Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 05/05/15 16:03 by MartyBernard. Date: 05/05/15 16:54 Re: A Few Windsplitter Pictures Author: JimBaker In my humble opinion, that center door is the only place you can see anything ahead from the passenger compartment.
