Three Milwaukee Road Passenger Trains
Author: MartyBernard

These are from the camera of my friend Rick Burn.

1. Train 5, The Morning Hiawatha, Pewaukee, WI, January 1965

2. Either Train 38 or 58 (I can't read Rick's chicken scratching) at Winona, MN in March 1964.  {EDIT} Rick emailed me this: "It is train 58, the all stop local from Minneapolis to Watertown and then express to Chicago stopping in Milwaukee and Glenview."

3. Train 58 at Winnona, MN in March 1964

Enjoy,
Marty Bernard

Great photos taken close to home, for me.  It must be 58 .... I don't recall a 38 at that time.
I will check my '64 Employee Timetable.  Thanks for sharing ALL of your treasures, Marty.

The speed sign looks to say R5 - 45 or is 85 - 45?  I thoughjt it was always 30 - 30 through Winona.

If I had to guess I would say that picture two and three are of the same train.  As much as the consist that is visible seems to match as do the locomotives.

At any rate, neat photos.  Thanks for posting.

Looking at the high resolution scan it says RS - 45.  I have no idea what that means.
