Nostalgia & History > Some C&NW From the Lens of Bill KubaDate: 10/08/15 02:27 Some C&NW From the Lens of Bill Kuba Author: MILW86A I picked these C&NW pics at a train show Sunday. These photos were taken by the late Bill Kuba of some C&NW action at Beverly(Cedar Rapids) Yard, probably late 1950's or early 1960's when the GP7's/GP9's were primary road power on the Iowa Division main line.
Thanks for looking, I have more photos that I will share of Bill's in some upcoming posts. MILW86A Date: 10/08/15 05:06 Re: Some C&NW From the Lens of Bill Kuba Author: robj Nice Set. Love to see more.

that location, and it's not the west end, the curve is the wrong way. Just asking is all. Nick Tharalson, Marioin, IA Date: 10/08/15 13:54 Re: Some C&NW From the Lens of Bill Kuba Author: milwrdfan I wonder if that first shot is the east end, with the Milwaukee crossing just out of the picture in the distance. This would be before Highway 30 was there.

Dennis Date: 10/08/15 20:02 Re: Some C&NW From the Lens of Bill Kuba Author: aohunt The first shot is just east of the old Beverly depot. Highway 30 would be in the background now. The house track used to come back into the westbound main at that location.
