Yes that SD38 must have had the smalled fuel tank EMD offered. Funny I don't remember it being that small when the unit was running about on the SP in the late 70's under lease. I also missed out on seeing that OP&E unit in service. All I saw were SW8's during that line's last few years. Thanks for sharing the photos with us. Date: 11/22/15 13:33 Re: few March '75 . . . JB Date: 11/24/15 15:09 Re: few March '75 . . . Author: Mococo The last SD-38 purchased by Mc Cloud #39 was the only one that had the normal sized fuel tank. I might be wrong but I believe the 39 was a dash 2 unit also.
