Update: Photo(s) deleted because there are thieves on Trainorders who download and then use other peoples' photos in books, or simply print and sell the prints, for their own enrichment!!! I don't mind downloading them for your personal enjoyment but I draw the line at selling them or publishing them and claiming they are yours. Sorry I have to do this but the actions of a few screw it up for all.

LOL!   Post of the week!    Can't believe my eyes!

I understand that a local UP "Official" ordered them removed because it did not look "Professional".  You can't make this stuff up!!!!

No, but I have it on good authority there was a desire to find fuzzy dice to hang in the front windshield.

I think I can make out "Dinkle Balls" across the tops of the windows, too. Wonder if the throttle has one of these?

When we were testing EMD3 with the prototype radial trucks in 1990, one of our test engineers did hang fuzzy dice from one of the visors on the front cab windows. He also put some hot pink air foils on the windshield wipers and stuck a sign saying "Radial Truckin'" under each side window beneath the EMD3 lettering. The loco returned after testing with that stuff intact but our Sales Manager insisted we remove it before it went out for long term durability test.
