Especially on the Cascade line.

I rode #14 in 2003 with 14 or 15 coaches and only 2 units -- one each of a P32 and F59 -- 6200 hp on 8 axles. The train was packed to the gills with revenue passengers, with, if I recall correctly, 5 coaches. And had 2 Alaska domes deadheading on the tail. I fully expected it to be lugging along climbing Cantera Loop and up to Mt. Shasta City, but it seemed to keep track speed the whole way.
