BN around Denver
Author: thebluecomet

I am working on scanning all of my Burlington Northern slides, so pardon the overdose of the Green Giant. This group is largely from a 1989 trip to the Denver area.
Pic#1 Prospect Jct, Denver 9-19-89
Pic# 2 & 3 An eastbound off the C&S. #2 at Pecos Road crossing I believe on the Rio Grande. 9-10-89

These two are in the Boulder area. The track looked rather sketchy. Since I am not from the area, what is this line's origin and also what is it's current status? Photos dated 9-19-89.

An eastbound at Cheyenne, Wyoming. Last pic includes the old roundhouse. Clouds are back, but Wyoming isn't noted for ideal weather. Having driven a semi over I-80 a few times, it ain't pretty. Photos from 9-20-89.

Northeast of Denver lies Sterling, Colorado. From images dated 9-21-89 two coal trains led by the Oakway SD-60 leased units in EMD blue. Also a set of local power with SD9 6194.

Did the C&S roundhouse survive in that case?
