A few grab shots from aboard the WB Broadway Limited approaching Chicago. Photo 1. An EB freight, typical of early Conrail- former PC and Lehigh Valley power. Photo 2. Who doesn't love the Pennsy N5C Cabin Car? Photo 3. Cantenary? At the time I had guessed this was the South Shore. Here's my chance to maybe find out for sure... is it? Photo 1 looks like an EB leaving Elkhart yard. 2 probably at Elkhart too. Date: 02/19/17 09:45 Re: Good By AFT, Heading Home in 1977 (3 of 8) Author: BoilingMan halfmoonharold Wrote:

Well, I'm not familiar with the area at all, and I'm not even sure if I was on the NYC or the PRR RoW. The Broadway was, of course, a PRR train, but as I said in Part 2, we had passed through Toledo and were off-route. I took 2 photos of this freight and the second one was closer. I was moving West, sooo.... I figured the freight to be EB. SR Date: 02/19/17 09:57 Re: Good By AFT, Heading Home in 1977 (3 of 8) Author: BoilingMan NYC303 Wrote:

Ah, good- I remember frantically hoping to catch a glimpse of a 'Joe. I didn't spot one, but nice to know I wasn't COMPLETELY wasting my time!
