Friday Flares at Rest
Author: WrongMain

In other words, roster shots of three SD45's.  The title sounded better, because there are folks out there that aren't fans of roster shots.  As you will see, I am a fan.

1.  Reading 7600 sits at the Indiana Harbor Belt's Blue Island yard, which is actually in Riverdale, IL.   It's July, 1976, and the class SD45 still wears its Reading number, while the flare behind has been "Conrailized" already.

2.  We get two for the price of one, as Milwaukee Road SD45s 15 and 10 sit out Memorial Day weekend back in 1978.  Meanwhile, it looks like a little SW1 looks on in envy, or disgust.  LaCrosse, WI back when you could find such stuff there.

3.  Finally, a Colorado & Southern flare, the 871, disguised as a Burlington Northern SD45, sits in Clyde Yard in Cicero, IL back in April of 1979.
