Colorful CSX - April 1988

Here are two colorful early CSX lashups from Northeast Ohio.
Image one: CSXT 8621, CSXT 6070, C&NW 889, plus (?)  heads west into Clinton, Ohio on April 9, 1988.
Image two: CSXT 5905, CSXT 6109, plus (?) proceed west through Sterling, Ohio on April 10, 1988.

Nice. First one is a WEPX (Wisconsin Electric) coal train. These loaded on the MGA and ran MGA-P&LE-CSX-CNW. CNW pool units were common, and the power ran thru the whole trip.

 Like both photos.  But, I especially like the first; that big SD50 is really an intimidator.

Sterling looks a little different then 10-15 years before.
