Thanks for the look back. It is easy to forget how good SP locomotives looked with fresh paint.

8093 was a Cotton Belt unit.

It looks like SP 8570, 8333, & 8681 were involved in collisions.

Very nice documentation! Trying to think back of local wrecks in 1995, and nothing's coming to mind. There were mishaps at Mojave and Cajon Summit, but those all involved M-K rebuilds.

Wow,

Thanks for posting that video. I spent some time out there at that time. SP was running solid sets of Grande SD45s in transfer service. Great memories.

Wow, Nice! What a contrast between clean, and dirty old "peel-paint" SP units. Also shame how filthy the RG units are, compared to how clean they were when I caught most of them on video, in North Nevada a few years earlier!(will post after converting from VHS). Also saw a few of those WC units in Idaho a few years earlier.

Great video, I wish I had the time the railfan Pepper Ave. since I've always been a die hard fan of the Southern Pacific!

I remember having the 8300 (lease fleet by this time) as a leading unit into Collingwood, Ohio about ten years ago or so.
