Can't really tell you much about the subject matter as they were "shots of opportunity" caught as I was running between assignments for the newspaper.

1) Cumberland, MD eastbound shot at the same time a got the BQ23-7

2) "B Unit" - Blinded, BQ23-7 at Cumberland, MD

3) Near Mexico Farms Tower, Cumberland

Are the BQ23-7s still around or have they been scrapped by now?

All 10 were built between November '78 and February '79 with the first retired on 4/15/'91 and the last two retired on 12/22/97. All, except 3009 which had already retired, were converted to B units in '93. These units were never popular with the crews.

All Roster info above is from the excellent article by Doug Riddell in the 3rd Quarter 2015 issue of Lines South magazine of the ACL/SAL Historical Society.
