Shoving on an eastward train in the shadow of Mt Shasta
Author: photobob

After getting out of the service in May 1967I was ready for a little rail fanning. I took a trip up to Andesite to get back into the swing of things. This was one of my first shots of SD40's which came into being while I was away. The PFE Reefer was only a couple of months old at the time.Mt Shasta was covered by smoke from summer wildfires in Oregon.Ah it was good to be home a far cry from my time in the jungles of Panama.

Bob, I'll bet those 40's were music to your ears in Run8. Thanks for sharing another nice one.

Thanks, Bob. Back when things were right with the world - or at least the railroad world. Great shot!
