UP freight, No headlight, Coming at You!,... BOO!

Very,Very Scary, Boys and Girls! Sometime, somewhere back in the 1990's. Sorry, No date/location available (On purpose). Happy Halloween...and BOOO! Do you know the hand signal to tell engineer his headlight is off?

Sounds like a Leslie S-3L with just the #31 bell sounding. Interesting fuel tank shape on that fourth unit.

Is that an interlocking below by the signals that goes to double track? If so, he may have been tucked away in the hole for a while, turned his headlight off in respect of an opposing train, and simply forgot to put it back on. Just a theory.

That means "Head in" and in, take the siding.

Unit with the different fuel tank is a former UP GP39-2 Kennecott Copper unit sold to UP.

Yes, I noticed that fuel tank shape too. Kind of stands out on telephoto shot.

Yes, there is a siding/double track about a mile or so back.

I saw the head pat hand signal done at the Deleay Beach FL SAL depot in '65.
