It left the mainline at Willows, California and went west from town. Now it is a long industrial spur to Manville Fiberglass. Here the West Valley Local passes under Interstate 5 as it returns to the mainline back in 1986.

Neat shot, as I've said before it's still a neat chase on the abandoned stretch noting the quality of the grades
and contruction, someone had big ideas of getting to the Coast. Buddy I worked with remembered the GS gons loaded
with logs coming out of Fruto during his childhood. Shame there aren't more shots of this line, it possibly other
than maybe a Baldwin road switcher was worked with steam right up to the end (1951) when it was cut back.
