Paso Robles 1955. Check out that 1955 De Soto next to the depot.

All I see is a big blank space where the image should be. Really hoping to see this one.

Thanks for the photo Bob

On the home page I saw a black rectangle where the photo should have been, but when I clicked on it it displayed correctly.

All I see is the blank frame with the logo at the upper left.
Clicking on Reload or Open doesn't affect anything.

Bob, can you repost the photo, please.

That’s odd. It comes up fine.

The car is on the right side of the photo.

The stations of yesteryear were so much more aesthetically pleasing than those today. Back in those days, there was pride in how the railroad was represented to the public. I don't see that these days. Nice shot of the Paso station. That's a Firedome BTW.

Thanks for the repost of the photo....looks great. Just FYI, the Desoto is a 1956 model.

I strung many trainorder "arms" there when my Dad worked second trick at Paso.

Stations of any era are scarce as hens teeth today.

Interesting placement of the train order boards. Typically they would be directly in front of the operators bay but here they are displaced several feet and appear to be controlled from within the freight house. Don’t think the op worked there. Would like to see the bell crank linkage on this one.

I feel I should have clear recollection  of the location of the levers.  I'm certain that the Atascadero station had the levers in the middle of the telegrapher's desk ( I spent a lot of time at both Atascadero and Paso Robles stations.)...recall tells me the telegrapher's desks were the same.....still I'm uncertain about that.  Way back then, I was allowed to pull the levers to change the trainorder board (?) indication, and I cannot recall leaving the office in Paso to do so.  But, a small voice in the back of my mind tells me that maybe the levers were out in the baggage room.  I hope someone here has better, more certain, recall of the layout at Paso.

Photobob, Any chance you have a photo of the telegrapher's desk at Paso?
