New Orleans Streetcars and Monorail August 1984

While on a cross country trip in 1984, I spent a night in New Orleans. Rode the monorail that night at the World's Fair (I think it was torn out immediately after the fair closed). Rode the streetcar the next day and while walking found the Streetcar Named Desire on display.

Still do not understand why monorails are poopooed in the US. Planned properly they can relieve traffic, narrow footprint, efficient, and fast
