Nostalgia & History > All Alone Am I... - Republic SteelDate: 08/09/18 23:42 All Alone Am I... - Republic Steel Author: refarkas It was August 1973 in Canton, Ohio, and I had a 50mm lens on my camera. To make things worse, I was using Kodak High Speed Ektachrome push-processed to ASA 400. In a field all by itself was a Republic Steel Alco switcher, but going closer was not an option. Here is the original scene and a closer crop from the same slide.

Is it still in operation? Gary Date: 08/10/18 05:10 Re: All Alone Am I... - Republic Steel Author: refarkas I believe Republic Steel still has a plant in Canton, but this location as it is in the photo is gone.
