Akron Memory (Seventeen) - C&O 7525
Author: refarkas

It is May 3, 1980 in Akron, Ohio, and C&O 7525 is eastbound along the multi-track railroad corridor that once existed here. Of interest is the ex-EL signal to the right.
Now only the two mainline CSX tracks run through here instead of a few years earlier in the early 1970's when there were six or seven track and the trains of the PC, B&O, and EL.

Great photo - but so sad to see what once was in Akron compared to today.

Nice sunny action photo.  Chessie scheme was a great subject.  Background choice was excellent.

Thanks. As for the background choice, it changed from typical back then to historical now.
