I was doing some family research on the Nebraska State Historical Society website over the weekend.
I found these interesting photos that I thought were unique enough to post on TO.
I thought the German notes were interesting!  Anybody want to translate?

Interesting photos.

I believe the writing is one of the Nordic languages, likely Swedish, not German

The writing in the upper right translates to something like "I sent 30# with Warner this time." 

The writing in the upper left appears to be a "greeting to all" from Einar.
