Interesting Mt. Washington Cog Photos -- Walt Dunlap
Author: MartyBernard

Walt visited Mt. Washington Cog Railway in August 1967.  There are no captions, just pictures to view.

Enjoy,
Marty Bernard

Thanks to the environmental wacos for nearly eliminating steam.  Like that little bit was going to make a difference.

I think running the "bio-diesels" was easier and
considerably cheaper too.  Far less appealing,
of course....

I like Strasburg's mentallity: "Why do you often
use steam locomotives to pick up freight left by
Norfolk Southern?"  "Because we can!".

Question begs in regards to the Mt Washington Cog;
Were the bio-diesels brought in to keep the place
financially sound or instead to increase its profits?

Is the market sound for more steam excursions, or
is it a marketing problem.

Nice shots - thanks for sharing!
