Fan trips comemorating the retirement of the G's in NJT service October 29, 1983. Number 4877 repainted into Pennsy colors. The loco was nicknamed "Big Red"
First crossing the Raritan Bay northbound Perth Amboy, NJ
Second entering South Amboy
Last nortbound at the station in Perth Amboy.

Hmm. Did Pennsy palnt its passenger locomotives a different shade of Tuscan than the cars? Certainly a noticeable difference here.

The club car is too bright of a red, the GG-1 is about right, still a bit bright but the originals I saw were always grimy and aged.
