Nostalgia & History > Location follow-up @ MarysvilleDate: 02/10/19 12:43 Location follow-up @ Marysville Author: santafe199 Here’s a follow up to the recent UP Marysville, KS retro main line fueling facility image I posted last month: ( https://www.trainorders.com/discussion/read.php?11,4714194,4714194#msg-4714194 ). These 3 additional images were taken by local Marysville photographer O. F. Hawkins back in 1931. Mr Hawkins may have been the photographer in the Marshall County Historical Society image I used in January. But that image was taken on a sunny day, so I cannot verify this.
I’m thinking if I was still into the modeling side of the hobby this would be a great scratch-building project. Who knows, maybe one day I’ll see this diorama at some model RR show… 1. Looking northwest. 2. Looking southwest. 3. Looking south. Three photos taken in Marysville, KS on November 9, 1931 by O F Hawkins. From the James W. Watson collection. Thanks for looking back!
