(1) The MKT had many cast iron posts like this in Texas.
Crossing, whistle, and no trespassing were some of them.
This one was on the now abandoned Katy line just south of Waxahachie,Tx.
After the tracks were gone on the MKT Houston-Katy line, one of these posts (a crossing) survived and I tried to help clear the row but these posts were deep in to the ground and were not coming out.

That "No Trespassing" sign was certainly there to stay.

Slide #3 is my choice . Always liked the Burlington Route... and the Sam Houston Zephyr since it was the first passenger train I rode.

I agree. I've always thought a solid silver Q caboose with the Burlington Route emblem looked pretty cool. Very 'railroad-ish'...
